Representative Paul Ray (R)-Clinton, also The American Legislative Exchange Council
(ALEC) Chairman for the Criminal Justice Task Force and Perfect Home Living, both
members of Utah\'s Mortgage Fraud Task Force have joined forces to unveil an
intensive new public service announcement campaign aimed at bringing an elevated
awareness to Utah\'s home buying market and licensed real estate professionals on
the reality of mortgage and real estate fraud within the state of Utah.

\"All across the country the American Dream of home ownership has been put at risk by
fraud schemes perpetrated by criminal elements and enterprises. For Utah that
activity hasn\'t decreased, it has increased and getting our consumers and licensed
professionals educated to the warning signs is paramount to reversing this alarming
trend,\" Representative Ray said.

In addition to the unveiling of the new public service announcements, Perfect Home
Living has renewed its commitment to the communities of Utah by increasing the
number of town hall style meetings it plans to hold now and through the end of the
year.

\"We\'re calling on City Mayors, District Attorneys and Law Enforcement Agencies
throughout the state to get involved and to get their communities involved in
becoming more aware of red flags and where to turn for help within Utah\'s real
estate market,\" says Sheri Fitzpatrick, licensed Utah real estate broker and CEO of
Perfect Home Living, a Non-Profit Organization committed to the education of
consumers, financial institutions and law enforcement agencies on loopholes used by
mortgage and real estate fraud criminals.

\"This is the first comprehensive consumer awareness program of its kind concerning
mortgage and real estate fraud and it\'s going to take a unified effort to ensure its
success,\" Fitzpatrick added.

Perfect Home Living is seeking a variety of outreach methods that include: town hall
meetings, partnering with local businesses to display posters to consumers and
employees, posting of materials inside financial institutions as well as working
with various media outlets.

within each of Utah\'s communities. Our education of mortgage and real estate fraud
can not be understated,\" added Utah State Representative Ray.
